the client

Kpler is a start-up that develops innovative transparent solutions for players in commodity markets, mainly in energy. They enable their customers to analyse global commodity flows in real time. They chose Factory to conceptualize their new offices, located rue du Sentier in Paris’s 2nd arrondissement, in the new Made in France Silicon Valley (nicknamed the Silicon Sentier).

THE CLIENT’S NEEDS

Every day, Kpler continues to establish itself as a benchmark solution among the players in the market, whether they are traders, industrialists, shipping operators or investors. The fast-growing start-up was looking for offices that reflect their image, encouraging collaborative work and attracting and motivating talents.

AN IMPORTANT RENOVATION

Factory was in charge of the complete renovation of their premises. Major works were carried out on the entire existing network: masonry, electricity, lighting, plumbing, ventilation… The floor was completely rebuilt with the installation of tiles and parquet flooring. A double glazing was installed resembling a workshop’s canopy.

A TOTAL REORGANISATION OF THE PLACE

The layout and partitioning of the place did not permit an optimal circulation and made the site particularly complex. One of the main challenges of our mission has thus been to transform the flows and bring light into the spaces. Factory thus proposed an edge-to-edge partitioning solution made of transparent glass to optimise these last two aspects.

This new 160m2 space has thus been given a “loft” spirit while dividing up the spaces into several uses: meeting rooms, kitchen, reception, interviews, etc. This has enabled KPLER employees to work according to their needs throughout the day, while also meeting the latest trends within working environments.

INDUSTRIAL AND CUTOMIZED STYLING

The offices have been completely renovated in a very industrial spirit, including all air conditioning and exposed ducts. The furniture was designed with a focus on customised layout, design and acoustics. Graphics, colours and materials had to be carefully chosen so that this place would showcase the KPLER brand to the company’s employees and partners. Graphics, colours and materials had to be carefully chosen so that this place would showcase the KPLER brand to the company’s employees and partners. The goal was to allow the office to become a tool for retaining and attracting the best talents, as well as to enhance the means of communication.
