Jean-Marc Deshaires joins Factory as Director of Real Estate Italy.

We are proud to introduce Jean-Marc, who recently joined Factory as the Director of Real Estate Italy.

His mission? With over 30 years of experience based in Italy and having held various top-level positions in corporate real estate, including leading the Italian subsidiary of Icade, Jean-Marc joined us in early January to accelerate the development of Factory in Italy.

His strength? His extensive and diverse experience ranging from office real estate to healthcare facilities (meeting stringent standards) and the hospitality sector (hotels, senior housing, student housing). Over the years, Jean-Marc has built trusted relationships with key players in the real estate industry, from users to investors. Serving as the President of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Italy for 6 years, Jean-Marc has been actively involved in economic relations between France and Italy.

His greatest asset? His insatiable curiosity for emerging trends in real estate (offices, specialized residences, co-housing, etc.).

His background? An architect with a DPLG degree and a Chartered Surveyor (RICS), Jean-Marc has previously served as the Real Estate Director for the Pierre Premier group in Italy, Associate Director at Aegide, Corporate & Industrial Director at Alban Cooper Italia, and General Manager of the Italian subsidiary of Icade (Caisse des dépôts group). Additionally, he founded and led Freestate Core for over 10 years, providing consultancy services to international investors and users.

It was during a lunch last year that Jean-Marc crossed paths with Nicolas Micallef. The connection was immediate as both share a passion for the evolving world of work and aim to bring the Factory revolution to Italy!
