Factory draws inspiration at Paris Design Week 2024!

Thank you to **Informations Entreprise** for this extensive article dedicated to Factory.

It was an opportunity for Nicolas Micallef and Jules Dubois to share their vision of the workplace and how, for the past 7 years, they have been helping companies turn their offices into their best performance tool.

What if investing in your offices was the most profitable long-term investment?

### This is the question that drives us when we support our clients. We even like to say that well-designed offices are a company's best marketing tool.

Since our offices serve as both our showroom and our laboratory, we followed our own advice by carefully refining our spaces down to the smallest detail. We entrusted Quintessence Paris with the task of creating a bespoke olfactory signature for us, aimed at enhancing team well-being and strengthening our brand identity. This is a first in the service sector!

It was a fascinating project led by Nicolas Micallef in collaboration with Vanina Muracciole and Valentine Pozzo di Borgo, which you can explore in this joint interview.

A huge thank you to the Quintessence team, especially Maëva Rocha, as well as Jérôme Laan, Creative Director at Factory, for successfully bringing this olfactory collaboration to life.

FACTORY x QUINTESSENCE

### The idea for a circular economy training emerged in February 2023, during a meeting with Noé Basch, founder of Mobius Réemploi. 

We had been following Mobius Réemploi's activities with great interest and admiration, as they promote the reuse of materials in the construction industry by sourcing and supplying reused construction materials.

Several months later, and thanks to Bpifrance’s support, this training program is now underway! The goal: to train 60 of our employees over 18 months on circular economy best practices and integrate them into our methodology.

An initiative led by Arthur de Charentenay because...

"Training our team on Reuse and the Circular Economy is about growing Factory’s human capital, developing and enriching our ecosystem (consulting firms, subcontractors, suppliers), attracting and retaining talent, and making them key players in the ecological transition, both now and in the future."

### What if the driving force behind a company's innovation wasn't strategic plans carefully laid out in advance, but rather their desire to retain and help their best employees grow? 

As the world accelerates and becomes increasingly uncertain, this is a perspective worth exploring.

This is, at least, the vision put forward by Jules Dubois, co-founder of Factory, alongside Florent Noël, director and professor of the Master’s program in HR & CSR at IAE, and Ludovic Cinquin, co-founder and former CEO of Octo, in this Maddyness article.

From vacuum office to incubator office: How to redefine employees' relationship with their company?

### This year, for Paris Design Week, we wanted to talk about a subject that is dear to our hearts: how to tell stories within a space.

It's closely tied to what we do at Factory, as we draw inspiration from the stories of companies and entrepreneurs who entrust us with their design projects, and because we were curious to see how the architects and designers who inspire us work.

Join us alongside Claire Cahuzac, head of our furniture division, as we meet three talented creators who graciously agreed to reveal the behind-the-scenes of their work.

Paris Design Week 2024 - Factory

### Most of us have now left hotels to return to our offices, but how are these two spaces similar... or not?

In this article, Nicolas Micallef, founder of Factory, addresses this question alongside Jérôme Cherpin, Managing Director in charge of Asset Management at QuinSpark Investment Partners, and Emmanuelle Mordacq, founder of NeoPlaces, who supports hotels in transforming their service offerings.

Indeed, the corporate world has much to gain from drawing inspiration from the hospitality industry, particularly by focusing on the employee experience. At a time when office attendance is being negotiated, the employee experience has become a powerful tool to bring teams back to the office and attract talent.

From the 'symmetry of attentions' to 'blended living,' journalist Florence Boulanger highlights the trends shaping the future of work as well as the future of hospitality.

From utility office to service office: How the Hotel Industry influences workspaces?

### Wormser Frères is recognized for its personalized approach, strong family roots, and commitment to traditional values, while adapting to the contemporary developments in the banking sector.

The bank relocated its historic headquarters due to costly renovations and chose a new location close to the old one, still within a Haussmannian building.

Faced with the challenge of preserving its family identity while modernizing its spaces, the family turned to Factory to design a functional space rich in history.

The new headquarters thus combines tradition and modernity with subtle decorative choices, blending vintage furniture and contemporary elements. Warm workspaces, meeting rooms, a modular tea room, and a tree-lined patio were created to foster interaction and recreate a welcoming atmosphere.

We are extremely proud of this project, which was a highlight of 2023, and we would like to extend a big thank you to the entire Factory team!

### Malt, founded in 2013, is a rapidly growing platform that connects freelancers and companies, quickly becoming the largest freelance community in Europe.

With over 500,000 freelancers and 70,000 partner companies, Malt embodies the new post-pandemic work paradigms, focusing on flexibility and collaboration.

Factory had the pleasure of assisting Malt in the creation of its new 5,000 m² headquarters in the La Madeleine district. These new offices, designed to reflect Malt's core values, blend tradition and modernity with flexible spaces, employee wellness services, and a design inspired by the company's DNA.

The new space promotes cohesion, innovation, and employee fulfillment while offering a premium experience for freelancers and clients.

We are deeply honored to have led this project, which was a highlight of 2023, and we would like to extend a big thank you to the entire Factory team!

Office Snapshots highlights Malt's new headquarters.

### Owkin, a French-American unicorn whose goal is to introduce artificial intelligence into medicine to discover new drugs, has the modest ambition of becoming the global reference in AI applied to biology.

After an initial real estate search led by Nicolas Hanart and his team, Owkin settled into a historic building in the heart of Paris' 9th arrondissement.

We then carried out the design project with the aim of turning this new headquarters into a Social Club that embodies the very essence of Owkin's culture:collaboration, innovation, and well-being.

Everything was designed to encourage collective intelligence and exchanges between employees. Common areas, a large living room for gatherings, recreational spaces like a music studio, and focus areas like the library—all were created to foster team synergy.

We are particularly proud of this project, which marked the year 2023, so a huge thank you to the entire Factory team!
