Transforming a headquarters into a strategic asset.

A redesigned, high-performing headquarters that stays true to Euronext’s identity.

The group is the leading stock exchange operator in Europe, managing the markets of Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Paris, Lisbon, Milan, and Oslo. Euronext's offices in La Défense house both its French subsidiary and embody the group’s strong European identity.

As the European leader in capital markets with over 25% of equity trading across Europe, Euronext plays a central role in the continent’s economy.

A symbol of European finance since its founding in 2000, Euronext continues to assert its influence — a strategic and emblematic dimension that truly inspired us at Factory!

A major challenge: reinvent without relocating.

After a decade outside of central Paris, Euronext had to choose between staying in its unattractive, sparsely populated La Défense offices — largely abandoned by teams now accustomed to remote work — or relocating to a more appealing but costlier location. After negotiations with its landlord, the company opted for a third path: staying while transforming its premises into a space that matches its ambitions.

Our “The Future at Work” approach focused on three key pillars: optimizing workspace performance through a new layout and shift to flex office, enhancing employee well-being with more and better-adapted collaborative areas — brighter, more welcoming spaces including a fully redesigned restaurant — and strengthening the sense of belonging by turning the office into a true tool for collaboration and brand identity.

With support from Convictions RH, a consulting firm specialized in HR transformation, we guided Euronext through its transition to flex office while respecting team identities. It was essential to size the space correctly based on remote work policies and to ensure it could host Euronext employees from across Europe visiting Paris. We also carefully organized the spaces to encourage the right kinds of interaction — from small or large group meetings to remote calls in acoustic booths, or informal chats in alcoves and coffee corners.

Our first goal was to adapt the space to the real needs of employees.

As the work was done in an occupied site, the project required meticulous planning, smooth communication, and a strong change management process to support employees, ensure pleasant working conditions during renovations, and give them ownership of their new environment.

Putting people at the heart of the workplace.

We focused on making spaces brighter and more open, improving flow and comfort to foster better interactions — in short, unlocking the full potential of the office. To further enhance workplace appeal, we completely redesigned the food services.

The transition to flex office only made sense if it benefitted employees. 

We created a true restaurant with quality furniture, a dedicated coffee shop area for morning breaks with a real barista-style menu, and a diverse, high-quality lunch offering. Where employees once left the building at lunchtime, the new space has become a favorite gathering spot.

An iconic HQ for a strong brand.

We reimagined its flagship areas, which Euronext now calls its “remarkable spaces.” The previously impersonal lobby was upgraded with large exterior-facing screens that proudly display the Euronext brand. We also redesigned the bell-ringing ritual — a symbol of stock market listings that was previously underutilized. To elevate this experience, we collaborated with Europe’s oldest foundry to recast a more imposing bell and installed it in a high-ceilinged room with a panoramic view of Paris. At a time when everything is becoming digital, we were keen to preserve a physical ritual and celebrate European craftsmanship.

Despite its strategic importance and its role as the home of the Paris stock exchange, Euronext's office did not reflect its identity.

The on-site museum was also redesigned to create a dialogue between historic archives — including the famous trading pit of the former Paris Bourse, now repurposed — and contemporary installations such as a “sound shower” recreating the atmosphere of trading floors. These spaces tell the story and bring the Euronext brand to life — a key factor in strengthening both employee connection and public visibility.

### A transformative project.
Today, teams have fully embraced the new workspace — so much so that early skeptics have become the project’s strongest advocates. As Delphine d’Amarzit, CEO of Euronext Paris, puts it: _“This project marked a real turning point for Euronext. Thanks to Factory, we’ve turned our headquarters into a high-performing, people-focused workplace that reflects who we are.”_ A vision shared by Stéphane Boujnah, CEO and Chairman of the Managing Board of Euronext: _“Euronext is a company resolutely focused on the future. I thank Factory for transforming our offices into a powerful symbol of our history and ambitions.”_

Green innovation and exceptional office-laboratories.

Patrick Torbey

A unique space dedicated to green tech.

This dream became a reality when Patrick Torbey, a PhD in synthetic biology from ENS, crossed paths with Lionel Mora, who had spent some time at Google.

Neoplants was born from a dream: what if our indoor plants could purify the air we breathe?

In 2018, through the Entrepreneurs First program at Station F, Neoplants was founded and has since become a key player in green tech.

Find a hybrid space to support growth and innovation.

The initial offices, developed in partnership with Factory at the Institut des Plantes de Saclay, quickly became too small to accommodate the company’s rapid growth. Neoplants once again turned to Factory to help them find new workspaces closer to Paris, where they could bring together offices and laboratories. 

The goal was to create the ideal space for their first concrete projects and early prototyping. The challenge was significant: finding a location that met the high technical standards of a laboratory while remaining within the first ring of Paris, all within a tight 12-month timeframe from the start of the search to the completion of renovations.

The founders of Neoplants were immediately captivated by the vast glass roof and the potential of this unique space.

The goal was to establish the framework for our search by outlining the project’s scope. Since no such hybrid space existed near central Paris, we had to create it.

First, we guided them in defining their real estate strategy and project requirements in the short, medium, and long term.

In line with the tradition of repurposing Saint-Ouen’s industrial heritage, we discovered a former 1,200 m² shoe warehouse that needed to be completely transformed.

Facilities combining laboratories, offices, and team well-being.

We relied on the invaluable expertise of an engineering firm, which helped us develop the layout, particularly the laboratories—an infrastructure unfamiliar to Factory at the time. This collaboration allowed us to grow and demonstrated our ability to bring together top-tier expertise for a company’s project and its users. Additionally, while the green tech sector typically does not consider office spaces as a marketing tool, Neoplants strongly believed in the importance of having offices that were both functional and attractive for their teams and broader ecosystem, including investors, journalists, and public officials.

Our challenge was to design spaces that met the strict requirements of a synthetic biology lab—temperature control, humidity levels, lighting, air treatment, rigorous safety standards, and floors resistant to corrosive substances—while ensuring they remained pleasant environments within a residential neighborhood. For the interior design, we set up the teams in a spacious open-plan office under the glass roof, warming up the space with terrazzo, Socialite Family furniture, custom fittings, and vintage pieces, complemented by essential greenery for Neoplants.

Every new visitor—whether employees, journalists, clients, or investors—gets a tour of the offices, as they perfectly embody the company’s mission: leveraging synthetic biology advancements to enhance well-being. 

This project marked a turning point for Neoplants, becoming a key element of their branding and communication strategy.

With 95% of employees satisfied with their work environment, the teams greatly appreciate the balance between laboratory space (700 m², including 36 workstations in experimental labs and the humidity control center) and a 500 m² open space—an enthusiasm shared by the company’s founder.

### This project was also a milestone for Factory, pushing us to tackle unprecedented technical challenges.

It reinforced our ambition to support companies that shape the future. By integrating laboratories directly into their office spaces, Neoplants has created a powerful tool for growth. Their new environment has fostered a new way of working, encouraging collaboration between R&D and operational teams—an essential factor in building a unified, engaged collective working towards a common goal. Seeing, talking, and understanding one another creates real shared value.

Unique offices combining a winter garden vibe, collaborative workspaces, and modern comfort.

A successful transformation thanks to Factory's unique support.

Voted Mobile Marketing Agency of the Year in 2023, it helps high-audience brands by designing interfaces and applications used by millions. As their office became too small, they wanted to move their teams into a larger, more characterful space without leaving their beloved Montparnasse neighborhood.

GO & UP is one of those agencies on the rise.

We began by supporting them in their real estate strategy. By taking the time to understand their exact needs, we were able to find them a unique space with remarkable features: impressive ceiling height, a monumental glass roof, and an exposed stone wall—all elements that give the place a distinctive charm.

A unique space achieved through a tailored real estate strategy.

The tone is set right at the entrance with dedicated spaces for electric scooters. We also created several meeting rooms, fully equipped for hybrid work, making collaboration seamless whether teams are onsite or remote. A massive library was designed, accessorized with books and objects that showcase GO & UP’s expertise.

From the start, the focus was on the employees. 

However, the true centerpiece of this office is the dining space, inspired by the Parisian bistro aesthetic—complete with a marble bar, bistro tables, and pendant lighting. Every effort was made to give GO & UP’s new offices a warm, home-like feel where teams can thrive.

A winter garden vibe: natural charm and timeless serenity.

To complement the beige used on the framework, we developed a warm, sophisticated color palette with deep green and cognac accents. Chrome details in the furniture and accessories bring a modern touch to the spaces.

The space itself inspired the overall decorative theme: turning the open-plan office under the glass roof into a kind of winter garden.

We also experimented with new materials, such as cork flooring for its acoustic comfort and eco-friendliness, tabletops made from crushed oyster shells, and fluted glass partitions elegantly defining the meeting rooms. Our furniture team sourced second-hand pieces to add extra character and customized select seating with high-end fabrics—ensuring no detail was overlooked.

Bringing teams together in one location to create a unified identity.

Before collaborating with Factory, the French teams of Sienna Investment Managers were historically split between two different locations. The idea was to bring all employees under one roof in an open space. 

But that wasn’t all. The space needed to reflect Sienna IM's identity, collaborative work style, and ambition, with the transition to flex office as the cornerstone.  

Transforming the offices into a key space where collaboration is central. 

It was also our “Future at Work” approach that made the difference. They wanted a partner who could understand not only their operations but also their aspirations. Far from just addressing technical challenges, our project aimed to embody Sienna IM's DNA.  

Sienna IM sought a partner with an integrated offer capable of managing everything on a very tight schedule.  

This new space needed to support their growth, enhance exchanges, and above all, engage teams. The goal was to transform their offices into a vital hub where collaboration thrives. 

A variety of spaces promoting more flexible and collaborative work. 

This step was crucial for understanding individual needs and work habits, allowing us to design tailored spaces. Based on this feedback, we created a more agile and connected environment. We increased the number of meeting rooms to facilitate formal discussions while adding informal areas for spontaneous conversations. 

To truly understand employee expectations, we began with an in-depth listening phase conducted with the help of La Fabrique Spinoza. 

Quiet pods were also implemented, offering those who need it a place to focus. This diversity of spaces promotes more flexible and collaborative work while respecting personal preferences. 

Flex office and refined design supporting well-being and a strong identity.

The transition to flex office at Sienna IM was carefully planned. With a ratio of 8 desks for 10 employees, comfort remained a priority. Acoustics were meticulously designed to ensure confidentiality and serenity, both crucial in the finance sector. Spaces also encourage movement. Standing desks were installed, offering alternatives to traditional workstations. A spacious cafeteria, accommodating up to 70 people, was created to foster relaxation and internal events. The entire space exudes warmth, with custom furniture, elegant decor, and abundant greenery softening the atmosphere.

Sienna IM wanted a space that fully reflected its values and identity. Inspired by their graphic charter, we created a subtle color palette integrated into signage, glass partitions, and even decorative details. To strengthen ties to their brand image, we collaborated with a photographer specializing in nature photography. Her works animate common areas and meeting rooms, adding a refreshing touch and a strong visual anchor. 

A project of this scale could not ignore environmental considerations. 

We chose to repurpose some existing furniture and selected recycled pieces from French and European brands. Additionally, we ensured that materials used were recyclable, reducing environmental impact.  

From the start, we sought to minimize its carbon footprint. 

This eco-friendly approach allowed Sienna IM to make choices aligned with its values while achieving modern, functional offices.  

This project succeeded thanks to close collaboration with the client and the dedication of our workplace, interior architecture, furniture, and space design teams. Sienna IM trusted us and followed our recommendations, particularly on space optimization, design, and environmental choices.  

Through these synergies, we created a workplace that not only meets team needs but anticipates future challenges by transforming work habits.
